Actinic Keratosis

Actinic keratosis (AK) is a precancerous skin condition that appears as dry, scaly, or rough patches, often caused by prolonged sun exposure. It is most common in people with fair skin. AKs can be red, pink, tan, or brown and may feel itchy or painful. While most AKs are benign, some can develop into squamous cell skin cancer if left untreated.
